In general, the car navigation system has an endurance of about 1-2 hours, so when driving long distances, you need to use a car power supply. However, some car owners have found that whenever the vehicle power is used, the warning light is always off. After inspection, it was found that the fuse of the original cigarette lighter was burned out, so the external power supply could not be used. At this time, the owner often thinks that the quality of the GPS vehicle power supply is too poor, but after repeated replacements, the situation is still the same.
In fact, the reason that GPS cannot use the vehicle power supply is not entirely caused by the quality of the vehicle power supply, and part of the reason is caused by the design of the cigarette lighter.
Simple judgment and solution:
The owner can first observe which one of the GPS vehicle power supply interfaces belongs to which is shown in the figure below. When the A plug is hot-plugged, the fuse will burn, but the B plug will not. The owner can change the on-board power supply of the B-type plug.
For car owners who use the A-type car plug, if they do not want to change the car's power supply, they can plug it in after starting the car and before turning it off to prevent instant high voltage burnout. If you think this method is troublesome, you can choose to make a simple modification to the cigarette lighter in your car. Fold the metal sheet (red mark) on the upper part of the cigarette lighter socket, so that the GPS cannot use the car power supply.
